Forschungszentrum Informatik an der Universität Karlsruhe (FZI) is a non-profit research center focusing on novel information technologies for providers of investment and consumer pro¬ducts, of production processes, and of information services. FZI is world-wide renowned in the area of Ontology-Based Information Systems and Semantic Web.

In FIT, FZI is responsible for the scientific and technical management and is leading the work related to semantic modelling and semantic mining.

PLANET S.A. is the leading Greek consulting firm advising clients in Greece and Southeast Europe on issues of strategy, organization, technology and operations and supporting the implementation of large scale projects. Planet has an extensive experience in EU-funded RTD projects mainly in the areas of e-government, e-business and knowledge management.

In FIT, Planet is responsible for the administrative project management.

The Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) is a non-profit private law body associated with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, which has been established in 1989 by the Ministry of Education of Greece, in order to promote research and development activity in all diverse aspects of computer and telecommunications systems and their applications. In FIT the Information Management Unit of ICCS will participate whose research is multidisciplinary and focuses on: knowledge management, e-government and process engineering.

In FIT, ICCS is leading the workpackages that focus on the quality of the e-Government Services and on the development of the FIT methodology.

FHNW (University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland) provides methodologies and competences for business process management (process modelling, business rules, workflow management, rules engines). FHNW acts as a partner of the Swiss Federal Chancellery, which builds a national e-government portal.

In FIT, FHNW is responsible for the development of the adaptable process modelling.

BOC Asset Management GmbH BOC has experience within EU-projects as it coordinated three projects and participated in additional five projects. The core competency of BOC is the know-how on “Meta-Modelling”. As the toolkit ADONIS was one of the first commercial Meta2Modelling toolkits, BOC gained technological leadership in this market. Today’s research of BOC and the University focuses on Enterprise Model Integration. Since 2002 BOC is heavily engaged in e-government activities in the Austrian market.

In the FIT project, BOC is leading user requirements analysis and system specifications as well as the integration activities.

CIM College d.o.o. is one of the leading software development and consulting companies in Serbia and Montenegro and other countries of former Yugoslavia, with three international certificates for its quality management system. CIM College d.o.o. has developed its own process-oriented platform for component software development - OPISys™ (Object Process Integration System). As well, CIM College d.o.o. developed software support for widely proven quality tools and methods, which alongside with the OPISys™ Business Process Management Solutions found wide application across different industries.

Within the FIT project, CIM College d.o.o. is leading the integration of business process modeling with the quality management system.

SAP Research is the technology research department of SAP, engaged in applied research and development at various research centers worldwide. Targeted to establish SAP as the thought leader in the area of innovative and breakthrough information technology, SAP Research determines the business value of new technologies and introduces new technology and concepts for future solutions that will be of strategic importance to SAP and its customers. I

n the FIT project, SAP is leading the dissemination and exploitation activities and will contribute to the development of the technological solution.

The General Secretariat of Public Administration and e-Government (YPESDDA) operates within the Ministry of Interior, Public Administration and Decentralization. The YPESDDA has designed, developed and implemented a large-scale e-government program in the framework of the Operational Programme for the Information Society of Greece. The main objective of YPESDDAs is the delivery of adequate and valid information regarding current processes about specific services provision, and the delivery of such services to citizens facilitating the transactions and interactions of citizens with the public administration.

In the FIT project, YPESDDA is acting as a pilot user.

The Municipality of Voecklabruck (STADT VB) operates in town hall of Voecklabruck, a regional centre town in Upper Austria with 13.000 inhabitants and a “metropolitan area” of more than 100.000 people, living in a partly industrial, partly rural region. The town itself, established in the early 14th century, is situated on the northern edge of the famous Salzkammergut region with its scenic lakes and beautiful alpine mountains. 220 employees care for citizens in quite different aspects. E-Government is a main issue in order to fulfil the needs of state-of-the-art local government

In the FIT project, Municipality of Voecklabruck is acting as a pilot user.

The Ministry of Science and Environmental Protection of Serbia and Montenegro (MNZS) was established in 2004 by merging two ministries: The Ministry of Science, Technology and Development (MNTR) and the Ministry of Environmental Protection. Within the Sector for Information Society, there are two organizational units: first unit is development and information society and second unit is for integral information system for organizations for science and research and internal information system of the Ministry.

In the FIT project, MNZS is acting as a pilot user.

 

CYBERCE was founded in 1997 in Athens and focuses on the implementation of e-Business & e-Government platforms & applications as well as the provision of ICT consulting services. CYBERCE also develops strategy & operational plans as well as Specification Documents (& Tender documents) for ICT projects.

In the FIT project, CYBERCE is acting as a support partners for the General Secretariat of Public Administration and e-Government.
